Lime-aid!

As promised, here's a delightful lime-aid recipe. It's really easy to make, surprisingly. I guess it had been way too long since I made an -aid of any sort, because I swear I was expecting to squeeze 12 limes and add a ton of sugar and a teensy bit of water. Wrong.

All you need for a treat to have you dreaming of warmer weather:

4 limes (we used more, but our neighbor's limes were tiny)
3/4 C sugar
2 quarts of cold water

That's it!

Just add your sugar to fresh squeezed lime juice. (Keep some pulp in there if you so desire.) Stir until sugar is dissolved, then add the cold water. Mix, ice and enjoy! And if you want your lime-aid to feel a tad bit more grown up, add a shot of vodka to the mix.

You can use extra limes to garnish your glass with wedges.

Best end to the weekend. Little lime-aid, little home-cooked dinner date, and little movie night with roommates.

Do any of you have tasty and simple fruit drink recipes?
