Making friendship bracelets, so photos can wait.

Tonight's been a very welcome gift to my over-anxious mind the past few weeks. I've decided that I will continue this place of mental stillness by flipping through my new ReadyMade magazine (no reading just yet, I like to look at it first), starting a friendship bracelet with the new cross stitching floss I snagged tonight on my Michael's date with Marz, and attempting to finish Bossypants. Oh, and petting little Matilda of course.

I finished going through the wedding photos last night. But, after putting the entire lot on Facebook I decided I wasn't ready to tackle a wedding post on the blog just yet. However, since I can't resist...

More wedding photos to come. I promise I won't forget. :) And, while we're on the topic of photos, definitely go check out Allie's Flickrsteam. She has the cutest photos from our friend's baby shower earlier this month. I loved looking through them. She's so talented.

How do you like to unwind? Do you have any friendship bracelet making tricks or tutorials you'd like to pass my way? I used to be pretty good at them, but I need a refresher for sure.

Back from our trip!

We arrived home earlier this evening from our wedding in Tallahasee. Gosh, there are so many photos to edit and upload from the wedding, so I'll just space out a few posts this week. I would like to share a handful of the cute details and happy moments from the Jaros wedding, but I also want to show you the cute farmer's market we attended Saturday morning in St. Augustine on our way up. Tons of stuff to look forward to this week, and maybe even a fun and easy tutorial? (Yikes, a first for this blog!)

In other news...

I'm going back to Bikram yoga tomorrow morning at 7:30am, just in time to ruin make the best of my day! :) If you've never gone to hot yoga before, I'll have to do a separate post sometime soon. It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, but it's also super rewarding. That means off to bed before 11, or else.

A few photos.

This weekend I'm driving to Tallahassee with my roommates, Lindsay and Allie. There's a lot happening in the next few days: Michaela's wedding, a baby shower in Orlando for Kathleen, and some time in St. Augustine with the girls' long-time friend Brittany. Lots of girl time. Which is good, because I am need of some carefree girl time.

Today it's so rainy and sad outside. I figured I'd brighten up my day with some happy photos. Why not?

Oh, and next week I'm getting my hair cut. It's way too long and scraggly for the heat that's overtaken Florida lately. I'm not going to chop it off or anything drastic, just get a good, healthy trim and dye it again. I just need to decide if I want to stay red one last time during summer before I go dark again, or take the plunge and go brown again. I'm leaning red, but you never know.

What do you think?

(Please ignore that N'Sync doll, "Mini Joey." It's a long story.)

Hope you have a happy weekend. I can't wait to share pictures of Michaela's wedding with you. What are your long weekend plans? Have you ever posed with an embarrassing miniature of the once-popular boy band, N'Sync? (Or a real life member of N'Sync?)

Babies and weddings.

Hey guys!

This past Saturday I helped co-host a baby shower for my friend Catherine. She's expecting her third child and it's been fun watching that little baby grow. With the help of my roommates Lindsay and Allie and our friend Elly, we threw a really beautiful shower. I can't take credit for much of this shower, because those girls did so much to make it gorgeous. I just kept asking, "Are we having this shower soon?" and invited some of our friends and helped with the details and planning. But it was a blast.

Take a look at how cute this thing was!

See those maps I used as backgrounds for my little Instax Minis from the shower? Well, I've been busy crafting a few garlands and pinwheels for something special this weekend...

I'm going to another wedding! Remember Lindsey's sweet wedding? Her little sister Michaela is getting married this Sunday. Ahhh!

I lived with both of these girls in Tallahassee a few years back during college, and I honestly can't tell you how much they mean to me. Michaela was my roommate, actually. We shared a huge garage-turned-carport-turned-bedroom and she may have been my best roommate ever. Our beds lined up end to end, and almost every night we talked while we did homework or before bed. She knows me so well, and is one of the greatest blessings in my life. We've shared so many tears and laughs and have a truly genuine friendship.

I will undoubtedly cry when she is up at the alter, and I am so proud of her and excited for what God has in store for she and her soon-to-be husband, Kurt.

And now for some photos over the years:

Off to sleep for me now. Maybe I'll dream about babies and weddings? haha.

Things that made me smile today!

Here we go. Five things that made me smile today:

1. Really funny the-world-is-ending-tweets courtesy of Reverend Mack Ore, the infamous old, Southern, highly-legalistic alter ego of my former boss, a dear friend. He's just really witty, and if you're into theological humor, I recommend you read his #LastDay tweets.

Here are a few that made me laugh during work today:

2. I also laughed until I cried with my coworker Holly when she showed me "32 Pictures You Need To See Before You Die Tomorrow." My stomach's still hurting from laughing so hard. I can't decide which are my favorite, because they're all so funny.

3. Receiving baby photos from my mom for a cute guessing game we're going to do tomorrow night at our friend Catherine's baby shower. In some of them I looked really cute, and in others I look like a crazy-eyed baby. haha, which is typical I suppose.

4. Doodling while my computer updated software. I call it "Octopus + Sailor Jesus." Really, no idea but it was fun during my 35 minute wait. I stuck it on Harbor's front door as a lil surprise after work tonight. And, for the record, that octopus is hugging that sailor, not killing him.

5. Knowing that summer is just around the corner. Beach days, festivals, roadtrips, and sweet treats! Bring it on.

What are you excited about today? What are you looking forward to this summer?
